The research lab studies the role of the cardiac nervous system in heart disease, focusing on how the autonomic nervous system contributes to arrhythmias. We use in-vivo electrophysiology, molecular and histological techniques, single-cell RNA sequencing, and physiological data from both animal models (mouse and porcine) and humans. Responsibilities also include animal procurement, monitoring post-procedures, genotyping, data analysis, and ordering supplies.</p> <p>Hourly range: $19.90-$23.04</p> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work on routine assignments with minimal supervision </li><li>Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records </li><li>Skills and prior experience in preparing buffers, solutions and reagents </li><li>Knowledge and prior experience in tissue preparation and specimen handling </li><li>Skills in basic computer use, Microsoft excel, office, powerpoint </li><li>Knowledge of PRISM, STATA </li><li>Previous wet lab experience </li><li>Responsible, reliable, can meet deadlines </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>BS in biochemistry, physiology, biology, or equivalent. </li><li>Expertise in performing ELISAS </li><li>Expertise in basic tissue processing and immunohistochemical techniques </li><li>Ability to peform wesern blots and qPCR </li><li>Familiarity with performing surgical and technical procedures in small and large animals </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work well with others </li></ul>
