<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tax Accountant in Saint Petersburg, FL.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Preparation of federal and multi-state corporate income tax filings and associated work papers, including consolidations and unitary return filings </li><li>Tax Accountant will manage fixed asset software, including review of capitalized assets, calculation of federal and state depreciation, and preparation of tangible property tax returns </li><li>Preparation and submission of tax filing extensions and estimated tax payments </li><li>Responding to tax notices and communications with federal and state tax authorities </li><li>As a Tax Accountant, you will assist with the completion and review of corporate income tax provisions (ASC 740/FAS 109) </li><li>Research federal and state tax laws and assist with tax department administration* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA a plus </li><li>5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax department </li><li>Experience with federal and multi-state corporate income tax return preparation is necessary </li><li>Knowledgeable with tax return preparation and research software platforms, experience with Thomson Reuters -OneSource- and -Checkpoint- and plus </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) </li><li>Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to multi-task well </li><li>Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines </li><li>Team oriented, and excellent communication skills </li><li>Ability to manage fixed assets, understanding of tax depreciation concepts preferred </li><li>Insurance tax experience (Property and casualty) is a plus </li></ul>
