As the Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative assistance and support to in-house counsel and the Compliance Director in the Legal Department's daily functions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Acts as liaison between in-house counsel, claims personnel and outside counsel </li><li>Reviews, verifies, logs and set legal bills in line for payment </li><li>Entry of and monitoring of compliance invoices through point of approval in Coupa </li><li>Maintains cumulative legal invoice tracking system </li><li>Produces quarterly legal activity reports </li><li>Coordinates and monitors timely response to insured Executive and Insurance Department complaints </li><li>Acts as liaison between claims personnel, claims counsel, state insurance departments and client companies regarding responses to insured complaints </li><li>Maintains complaint, subpoena and 1099 logs </li><li>Maintains files regarding complaint and subpoena responses </li><li>Produces under order of subpoena or valid authorization documents from various venues and tracks on the subpoena log </li><li>Maintains and updates legal research files </li><li>Maintains open and closed litigation files </li><li>Tracks pending litigation </li><li>Coordinates annual renewals of Law Department registrations </li><li>Assists with data entry for regulatory data calls for clients (including MCAS) </li><li>Assists with data entry for child support data match </li><li>Assists with gathering documentation/data entry/officer signatures for TPA license renewals </li><li>Maintains cumulative TPA licensure tracking system </li><li>Maintains and updates cumulative compliance tracking system </li><li>Performs various support tasks including, but not limited to filing, copying and word processing </li><li>Develops and maintains effective relationships and communication with co-workers, management, clients, and vendors </li><li>Support company values of We are Dynamic, We are Innovative, We are Connected, and We Succeed Together </li><li>Participates in special projects as needed and perform other related job functions as required </li></ul> <p>This role is a full-time hybrid position located in Springfield, MA.</p> <p>Skills, knowledge & expertise</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma; Associate's degree preferred </li><li>2-3 years' administrative assistant experience </li><li>Insurance industry experience and familiarity with legal proceedings preferrences </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Sharepoint.
