Relevant experience may substitute for the required education.</p> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.</p> <p>Special Conditions</p> <p>A bachelor's or master's degree in nursing is desirable from a fully accredited institution of higher learning. Three to five years of experience in a clinical nursing lab setting is desirable. Experience utilizing technology related to patient simulations, audio/visual equipment, telemedicine, and standardized participants is preferred.</p> <p>The department is especially interested in candidates with clinical learning lab experience to ensure the availability of appropriate resources to complete evidence-based learning opportunities in a simulated patient care environment, clinical simulation research, and effective teaching strategies in a simulated patient care environment.</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Monday-Friday</p> <p>8:00 am - 4:30 pm</p> <p>This position includes occasional evenings and weekends.</p> <p>Posting Date 08/22/2025 Closing Date 09/07/2025 Open Until Screening Begins No Hiring Range $63,0000 - $67,000 per year Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time: Benefits Eligible Working Conditions</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk.</p> <p>The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.</p> <p>Additional Working Conditions</p> <p>Position will entail moderate lifting and carrying, walking, sitting, and standing for up to 8 hours; working with technology, including electrical power and compressed gases; knowledge of case scenarios using simulation software; and irregular work hours, including weekends.</p> <p>The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Exemplary organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills are required. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously, are needed. Supports students to ensure that lab experiences meet course objectives; provides individual oversight to students for practice and/or remediation on technical skills as requested by faculty and students. Collaborates with the Director of Simulation and faculty to ensure the preparation of lab and simulation supplies and equipment based on faculty requests and course schedules.</p> <p>Cognitive & Critical Thinking Skills: Detail-oriented and articulate. Ability to think critically, identify challenges, and take action to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Assists in developing and implementing detailed, clinically based scenarios for the computerized simulators. Contributes to the ongoing evaluation of practical lab and simulation use by documenting, tracking, and managing lab learning environments via surveys and assessments.</p> <p>Technical & Operational Skills: Prepares and maintains labs and simulated patient care environments with equipment, supplies, media, computers, materials, and standardized patients needed to replicate a virtual healthcare setting. Collaborates on ordering and maintaining inventory of all lab supplies, equipment, furniture, models, AV equipment, and laboratory manuals; recommends purchase of lab equipment and supplies; and maintains clean, fully equipped nursing skills and simulations labs. Facilitates simulation and lab equipment care and maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, and warranty maintenance. Supports and integrates new technology for simulation and labs. Operates and maintains computerized simulation equipment.</p> <p>Planning & Organizational Skills: Participates in planning and scheduling for students and faculty by ensuring open lab and structured lab utilization times are available, communicated, and appropriately resourced. Collaborates with faculty and leadership to align lab operations with course schedules and institutional needs. Ensures environments are adequately equipped, maintained, and organized to support teaching and learning.</p> <p>Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to adjust to evolving technology, scheduling changes, and instructional needs.</p> <p>Additional Position Information Benefits of Employment (Applies to full-time, non-police employees only)</p>
