Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Exercise an advanced level of responsibility and accountability for coordinating, collecting, disseminating, and intervening in a manner that anticipates, prevents, and identifies, evaluates, and controls hazards. Serve in a lead supporting role providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, training and assisting in managing the daily work load/schedules of Safety Officer I's and II's.</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership support to Safety Officers. Support Regional Director in program deployment and support needs. </li><li>Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Environment of Care Program, including safety and security management, fire safety, hazardous materials and waste management, medical equipment, and utilities management and Emergency Management. </li><li>Oversight of Environment of Care in efforts to maintain high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, maintaining documentation of findings and improvements. </li><li>Identify risks based on regulatory interpretation and other methods, and apply to policy creation. </li><li>Develop and implement education programs and materials to train staff to detect, mitigate, and avoid workplace hazards. </li><li>Provide policy and procedure interpretation and education as it applies to the EC and Emergency Management Plans. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Our Team</p> <p>Ascension associates are key to our commitment of transforming healthcare and providing care to all, especially those most in need.
