Located in Lakewood, Washington, CPTC serves a diverse student population, offering a wide range of programs designed to prepare students for success in evolving industries.</p> <p>Clover Park Technical College is currently seeking a Full-Time Adjunct Pharmacy Technician Instructor to join our Pharmacy Technician instruction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing, supervising, and assessing students, managing laboratory setup and breakdown, maintaining supplies and equipment, conducting clinical site visits, and ensuring the program's compliance with the standards established by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).</p> <p>At CPTC, we celebrate the diverse individuals that comprise our community and value the opportunity to learn from both our differences and similarities. We seek to create an environment of innovation and excellence that focuses on student success, lifelong learning, and social responsibility.</p> <p>This position is represented by the Clover Park Federation of Teachers, Local 3913, AFT/AFT Washington.Duty: Provide quality instruction and assessment of student learning outcomes.</p> <p>Tasks include:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare lesson plans, ensure laboratory is set up and maintained. </li><li>Provide individual and group student-centered instruction. </li><li>Prepare and modify instructional materials and methods based on student needs and feedback. </li><li>Collaborate with advisory committees and attended committee meetings to ensure curriculum meets current industry standards. </li><li>Work with the dean and other pharmacy technician faculty to ensure the Pharmacy Technician program is operating effectively and efficiently. </li><li>Develop creative, flexible and innovative ways to effectively serve the needs of a diverse student population. </li><li>Evaluate and document student comprehension through testing, observation and assessment of skills attained. </li><li>Follow approved curriculum. Assess and modify current curriculum as needed, following the college policy and procedure for curricular review and modification. </li><li>Advise, support and guide students responding to their needs and provide career guidance. </li><li>Record and submit student grades in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Duty: Laboratory preparation</p> <p>Tasks include:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare lab for all demonstrations. </li><li>Set up and tear down labs as needed. </li><li>Maintain supplies and equipment. </li><li>Insure laboratory meets or exceeds established safety protocols. </li></ul> <p>Duty: Clinical Visits</p> <p>Tasks include:</p> <ul> <li>Visit and observe students in the clinical setting. </li><li>Meet with pharmacy managers and preceptors to obtain feedback and paperwork as needed. </li></ul> <p>Duty: Assist with Program Accreditation</p> <p>Tasks include:</p> <ul> <li>Provide required instructional documentation to program director as requested </li><li>Work with program director to develop and implement data/performance tracking as necessary to maintain program accreditation </li><li>Support program director in development of written responses to accreditation requirements </li></ul> <p>Duty: College Support Activities</p> <p>Tasks include:</p> <ul> <li>Attendance of College Sponsored Days and major events </li><li>Participation in Shared governance </li><li>Outreach and Recruitment </li><li>WA Pharmacy Technician Certified </li><li>PTCB Nationally Certified </li><li>Graduate of an ASHP accredited program </li><li>HIPAA training </li><li>BBP training </li><li>Minimum three years of experience working as a pharmacy technician in both hospital and community (retail) pharmacy/ outpatient settings, with at least three years in each. </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions</p> <ul> <li>Complete application </li><li>Attach your CTC certifications and/or industry-recognized credentials </li><li>Upload a resume and cover letter describing your skills and experience </li><li>Complete Supplemental Questions </li></ul> <p>All offers of employment at Clover Park Technical College are contingent upon successful completion of background checks, including criminal history.
