<p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>MPP Veritiv is seeking a General Helper to join our team. This role will perform various production functions to produce and deliver high-quality custom and stock corrugated products to customers.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Assist Plant Superintendent, Production Supervisors, Machine Operators and Machine Assistants as needed. </li><li>Assist in stacking corrugated sheets on pallets for next operation or as finished product for shipment to customer </li><li>Assist in hand-stripping of the trim from products and/or bundling if required. </li><li>Performs machine cleanup as needed. </li><li>Performs general janitorial services including dumping trash, moving waste corrugated to baler area, and stocking janitorial supplies. </li><li>May assist in receiving janitorial and office supplies. </li><li>Follows all applicable Safe Operating Procedures and Safety rules. </li><li>Learn Stacker- Primary Duties and Responsibilities. </li><li>Responsible to learn next step in line of progression to relieve for lunch/breaks and vacation. </li><li>Cross train with team members </li><li>Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>? No Education Preferences</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>1 year of warehouse or related experience or training Additional Required Qualifications: </li><li>Demonstrated mathematic ability: able to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, common fractions, decimals etc., Ability to convert from fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions. Ability to use tape measure. </li><li>Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions. </li><li>Must be able to read, write and speak English. </li><li>Ability to use specific computer software to enter and utilize information in our computer business systems.
