Location: DistrictwideROLE DESCRIPTION:The Staff Trainer is a "Teacher on Special Assignment" position that supports the professional development initiatives led by the Office of Teaching and Learning. The Staff Trainer will be responsible for supporting teachers by delivering training on new curricular resources, best instructional practices, and facilitating PLC team meetings and discussions. The Staff Trainer will be responsible for compiling/analyzing student data in preparation for PLC team meetings. This role involves collaborating with educators to ensure effective implementation of instructional strategies and resources, while promoting continuous growth and improvement in teaching practices. The Staff Trainer will be expected to design and lead workshops, provide individualized support to teachers, and help foster a culture of learning among staff. Additionally, the position requires the trainer to participate in ongoing professional development, stay informed about the latest research, educational trends, and best practices. Trainers will be expected to attend training/planning sessions for one week (5 Days) in August and select after-school days throughout the school year (1 day per month) (paid at the contractual rate).
