<p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>This position serves as the primary point of contact for the RMU Health Clinics. The role supports daily operations through scheduling, rescheduling, collecting new patient forms, verifying insurance, collecting payments and posting them to patient ledgers, managing the cash box, and preparing weekly volume reports. It also assists with building security by monitoring entry, collects data for surveys and grant requirements, and provides essential support to clinic providers to ensure efficient, patient-centered workflows</p> <p>This is an on-site, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday), and includes eligibility for all RMU benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), and more. In addition, this position receives 17 paid holidays annually, 3 paid floating holidays annually, and accrual of paid vacation and paid sick time.</p> <p>REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:</p> <p>Position Reports to: Asst. Director of RMU Health Clinics / Revenue Cycle</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors; answer calls; provide bilingual (English/Spanish) customer service. </li><li>Scheduling: Coordinate appointments across multiple clinics, including teletherapy and group sessions; manage waitlists and referrals. </li><li>Data & Billing: Enter patient demographics and insurance details; verify coverage; collect copays; assist with billing and authorizations. </li><li>Administrative Support: Collaborate with staff to improve workflows; Update office policies as needed; Acquisition, monitoring, and updating of clinic inventory; prepare monthly clinic and foundation expense reports for finance department. </li></ul> <p>Secure vendors for specialized clinic supplies and equipment and coordinating with finance department.</p> <ul> <li>Marketing & Outreach: Create and distribute clinic materials; attend community events to promote services. </li></ul> <p>PERFORMANCE METRICS</p> <ul> <li>Patient and staff feedback </li><li>Accuracy in data entry and billing </li><li>Compliance with HIPAA and internal policies </li><li>Timeliness and responsiveness </li><li>Contribution to process improvements </li></ul> <p>WORKING REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS</p> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <p>High School Diploma. BS/BA Preferred</p> <p>Required Knowledge:</p> <p>Working knowledge of Office 365, Google Workspace, and ability to learn and manage EMR (Clinicnote).</p> <p>Experience Required:</p> <p>2 to 4 years reception experience preferred; some experience in an SLP clinic or setting.</p> <p>Understanding and adherence to HIPAA and FERPA regulations, including privacy and confidentiality matters.</p> <p>Skills/Abilities:</p> <p>Perform independently and be able to determine when supervision or information is necessitated.</p> <p>Excellent detail-oriented, organizational, and multitasking skills.</p> <p>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</p> <p>Pleasant and positive demeanor.</p> <p>Demonstrate competent problem solving and decision making within the job boundaries.</p> <p>Multilingual skills are strongly preferred, specifically Spanish</p> <p>PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION</p> <p>Finger dexterity:</p> <p>Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together</p> <p>Talking:</p> <p>Especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly</p> <p>Average Hearing:</p> <p>Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information</p> <p>Average Visual Abilities:</p> <p>Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery</p> <p>Physical Strength:</p> <p>Sedentary work. Sitting most of the time.
