This role focuses on identifying and executing cost-saving opportunities, improving prescription workflows, and helping patients understand their most affordable options.This leader partners closely with Pharmacy Operations, Growth, Trade, Contracts, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Digital teams to ensure affordability programs, third-party plan setup, and coordination of benefits are implemented correctly, compliantly, and with the patient experience front and center.This role reports to the Director of Adjudication Innovation and leads a team of adjudication and analytics experts.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Affordability and AccessLead affordability strategies that reduce out-of-pocket costs and prescription abandonmentEvaluate new and evolving cost-saving opportunities across the pharmacy ecosystemGuide patients toward the most appropriate and affordable medication optionsPrescription Workflow and OperationsDesign scalable and efficient prescription workflows with internal teams and external partnersUse claims and performance data to inform decisions and improve outcomesStrengthen CVS Health's value as a transparent and lower-cost pharmacyCompliance and GovernanceServe as a subject matter expert for adjudication logic, coordination of benefits sequencing, and industry standardsEnsure pricing, billing, and affordability pathways meet regulatory and contractual requirementsMaintain governance standards that balance affordability, compliance, and operational performancePatient CommunicationLead digital patient communication strategies across app, web, point of sale, and messagingReduce confusion and friction throughout the prescription experienceLeadership and Talent DevelopmentBuild and lead a high-performing team with strong expertise in adjudication and affordabilityPromote accountability, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaborationRequired Qualifications7 to 10+ years of experience in adjudication, pharmacy operations, PBM operations, or healthcare technologyProven ability to lead complex programs and influence partners without direct authorityStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex topicsExperience working effectively across multiple business functionsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsStrong understanding of retail pharmacy operations and financial modelsAdvanced skills in Excel and PowerPointPreferred QualificationsExperience leading affordability initiatives such as discount programs, coupons, pricing transparency, or coordination of benefitsExperience leading large teams or managing significant business operationsAbility to lead in fast-changing, high-pressure environmentsExperience with user acceptance testing and end-to-end testingStrong background with pharmacy adjudication industry standardsEducationBachelor's degree or equivalent pharmacy or operational experiencePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
