<p>City College of San Francisco DSPS is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Speech-Language Pathologist to provide group instruction for individuals with acquired language or cognitive disorders to assist with functioning in the community and school.</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ol> <li> <p>Conduct communication and/or cognitive-linguistic class instruction for students with acquired brain injuries, aphasia, hearing loss, or other neurological disorders.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide intake evaluation for new students with recommendations for class placement</p> </li><li> <p>Liaison and outreach to community agencies, hospitals, clinics, and medical or service providers to facilitate and coordinate referrals and services for students.</p> </li><li> <p>Instruction may be assigned at various College campus or center locations, or off-site facilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain required attendance, grades, and department records in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>May supervise speech-language pathology interns from other schools, as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide in-service training for staff and appropriate community agencies</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the ongoing development of curriculum in developing course objectives, outlines, and content - following requirements and guidelines set by the State of California.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with counseling faculty and staff to provide additional support for the students as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in professional development activities, program development and review, and faculty committees.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess student learning outcomes (SLO) in courses and complete all related SLO assessments by the established deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Support and engage with the college community in an innovative culture of culturally responsive, inclusive and anti-racist practices as it relates to student success with an awareness of student equity gaps.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in ongoing training on diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism to center pedagogy.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other related duties as assigned by the Department Chair.</p> </li></ol> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ol> <li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with community college students with disabilities, various sexual orientations, and diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Earned Master's Degree, or equivalent foreign degree, in Speech Pathology and Audiology, or in Communication Disorders from an accredited institution;</p> </li></ol> <p>OR</p> <p>Hold a fully-satisfied LIFE California Community College Disabled Students Programs and Services Credential in Speech (California credentials were no longer issued after July 1, 1990).</p> <p>[The degree major(s) posted on an applicant's transcript(s) must be exactly as listed above under the degree requirements.
