This job is full-time, with the hours being 6:00 AM-2:30 PM on weekdays and every other weekend. The starting pay rate is $18-$20/hr based on experience.</p> <p>Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Pastry Cook:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. </li><li>Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting </li><li>Working with Executive Chef on developing new menu items, tastings and staying on top of trends. </li><li>Responsible for developing relationships with vendors. </li><li>Monitors stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget </li><li>Maintains a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:</p> <ul> <li>Degree from Culinary Arts school is preferred; may substitute additional experience for education. </li><li>Proven experience as Pastry Chef, baker or relevant role </li><li>Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.) </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills </li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours and days.
