<p>Master Services is looking for a highly motivated and positive individual to join our Payroll team!</p> <p>Our purpose is to redefine our industry by providing our customers with a remarkable experience. We want our employees to know that they are valued, and we want them to experience success in a way they never imagined possible.</p> <p>A payroll specialist will ensure accurate onboarding of new employees, record keeping, and assisting in the processing and recording of the company's payroll for a multi-division company, with locations in multiple states in a fast-paced, quick learning environment.</p> <p>Your Responsibilities as a Payroll Specialist:</p> <ul> <li>Understand all aspects of payroll with regards to payroll laws and regulations </li><li>Administer and participate in payroll processing activities for various payroll groups including the preparation, processing, and balancing of payroll. Ensure all information received from data and manual data sources is entered into the system without error. Utilize internal or external payroll technologies for payroll processing activities. </li><li>Participate in the review and preparation of data necessary for the filing of payroll related tax returns and miscellaneous withholding forms. </li><li>Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives; supports the development and maintenance of payroll process documentation. </li><li>Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately. </li><li>Provide excellent customer service to employees. </li><li>Assist in managing worker comp claims. </li><li>Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed. </li><li>Other assigned duties. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>What You'll Need to Succeed as a Payroll Specialist</p> <ul> <li>Must be detail oriented. </li><li>Must have excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Must possess strong interpersonal and (verbal and written) communication skills. As well as strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities. </li><li>Should hold a bachelors degree in finance or accounting and/or equivalent work experience. </li><li>Should have 3+ years experience in payroll processing. </li><li>Have a working knowledge of payroll best practices. </li><li>Have a strong knowledge of Federal and State regulations. </li><li>Possess a strong PC knowledge including proficiency in Excel. </li><li>A working knowledge of Paycom is desired but not required. </li><li>Must possess a strong work ethic and be a team player. </li></ul> <p>What We Offer Our Payroll Specialists:</p> <ul> <li>Benefit Package: medical, dental, vision, earned time off, 401k, 401k matching. </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Incredible culture and work life balance </li><li>Work for a company that will value your hard work and will respect you. </li><li>Full time job, on site job (not a remote position) </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>8 hour shift </li><li>Monday to Friday </li></ul> <p>Work setting:</p> <ul> <li>Office </li></ul> <p>Ability to Commute:</p> <ul> <li>Knoxville, TN (Required) </li></ul>
