<p>Kforce is partnering with a client in Clayton, MO to identify an Accounting Manager to help drive consistency and efficiency across the organization's accounting operations. This role will focus on strengthening internal controls and standardizing processes while working closely with finance and operational leaders to understand current workflows, provide strategic support, and lead smooth transition initiatives that minimize disruption to the business.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement review in accordance with GAAP </li><li>Oversee general ledger integrity and prepare non-routine entries related to acquisitions and complex transactions </li><li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; Deliver KPIs and financial insights to leadership </li><li>Assist with treasury activities, including cash flow management and banking administration </li><li>Manage payroll accounting, accruals, and serve as liaison for payroll systems and vendors </li><li>Supervise and develop team members, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and operational excellence </li><li>Drive process improvements and automation initiatives across accounting and reporting functions </li><li>Lead system and process integrations for newly acquired or affiliated entities </li><li>Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls; support audit processes* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5-7 years of general accounting experience </li><li>Strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups) </li><li>Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities </li><li>25% Travel required </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>CPA or PMP certification </li><li>Experience with multi-site payroll and ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, BILL) </li><li>Healthcare industry experience is a plus </li></ul>
