This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in aerospace inspections, who are comfortable working independently and onsite at supplier manufacturing facilities.</p> <p>Ideal Candidate:</p> <p>You possess extensive experience in aerospace source inspections and are dedicated to upholding the highest quality standards. Your ability to work independently and communicate effectively with suppliers and clients ensures seamless inspection processes and continuous quality improvements.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform source inspections and final and / or in-process verifications to drawing and / or maintenance manual requirements. </li><li>Perform dimensional inspection and validate dimensions using standard inspection hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. </li><li>Perform manufacturing planning and part routing validation. </li><li>Perform inspections supporting mechanical, electro-mechanical, weld, plating, paint, electrical assembly, and heat treat reviews at supplier facilities. </li><li>Schedule visits, document findings, and close records in the Customer Quality system. </li><li>Provide recommendations and alternative approaches to on-boarding and training as part of improving the overall source inspection process. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting aerospace engineering documents and blueprints. </li><li>Strong knowledge of ISO 9000, AS9100, NADCAP, and related quality systems. </li><li>Ability to travel up to 50% to supplier locations. </li><li>Certification or degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in aerospace source inspections. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>US Citizenship required due to the nature of the work. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Inspection certificates : IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD </li><li>Understanding of multiple types of parts, such as: mechanical, electro-mechanical, weld, plating, paint, electrical assembly, and heat treat reviews. </li></ul> <p>Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
