<p>REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Engineering Manager</p> <p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will participate in new product design reviews, support material planning activities, and help implement new work instructions. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of manufacturing operations, including product transition, material planning, and process improvement. You will assist in the transition of products from engineering to production, collaborate with different departments to enhance work processes, and evaluate methods to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with product transition plan from engineering to production </li><li>Communicate with departments in Operations and all levels of the organization to share ideas and gain feedback related to work processes </li><li>Evaluate and support all aspects of material planning, including kitting and process routings, to ensure accurate workflow </li><li>Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety </li><li>Participate in new product design reviews, providing early identification of planning or manufacturability issues </li><li>Evaluate processes related to time, cost reduction, and inventory control </li><li>Analyze and evaluate methods of production and point out ways to improve them </li><li>Lead or assist continuous improvement efforts, such as root cause failure analysis </li><li>Assist with new work instructions implementation </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Interest in manufacturing, supply chain, accounting, marketing, human resources, and engineering-based roles. </li><li>Excellent research and writing skills </li><li>Strong communication abilities </li><li>Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software </li><li>Time management and critical thinking skills </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. </li><li>Eagerness to learn and contribute to real-world engineering projects. </li></ul> <p>12 Expected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person</p> <ul> <li>100% Responsible </li><li>Trustworthy </li><li>Team Player </li><li>Clear Communicator </li><li>Empathy </li><li>Humility </li><li>Emotional Self-Control </li><li>Resolves Conflict Directly </li><li>Positive Attitude </li><li>Respects Others </li><li>Problem Solver </li><li>Agile. </li></ul>
