<p>Operating Room Liaison A Brief Overview The Operating Room Liaison acts as a communication bridge between the surgical team, sterile processing department, and other healthcare staff, ensuring smooth case flow by coordinating instrument needs, managing inventory, resolving issues related to supplies, and facilitating clear communication between departments to optimize surgical procedures; essentially, they are responsible for ensuring everything is in place for surgery and addressing any problems that arise during the process. What you will do Keep track of case flow during the day and notify the Sterile Processing Department in advance of additional needs. Assist with the planning and coordination of instrument turnarounds and communicate with the surgical team regarding information that may affect surgery start time Review the accuracy of surgical trays and resolve any discrepancies that may arise Perform data analysis to understand trends and identify operational issues within the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department Ensure quality of care by assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of instrumentation. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Required CRCST - Certified and Registered Central Service Technician Upon Hire Required or CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required At least 2 years experience working in a sterile processing role.
