<p>Job Description: England Public Schools is actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Math Teacher for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.</p> <p>Qualifications of Employment: Bachelor's or master's degree in the subject area. A teaching license or plan for obtaining one approved by the district. A passion and love for learning and teaching students. Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills. A growth mindset.</p> <p>Responsibilities: Holds or is able to secure Arkansas teaching license, specifically in 7-12 mathematics; Teach high school mathematics grades 7-12, utilizing course guidelines that are aligned with Arkansas teaching/learning standards and other designated district curriculum standards; Develop and study curriculum lesson plans that support conceptual understanding. Demonstrate mathematical concepts using models, other available technology in the understanding of mathematical algorithms; Has a passion for teaching and learning mathematics concepts; Provide opportunities when needed for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student; Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment; Evaluate each student's progress in mathematical knowledge and skills; Utilize graphing calculators and other technological tools to deepen student learning/understanding of mathematics; Communicates with parents and other personnel regarding student mastery and progress; Supervise students in and out-of-classroom during the assigned workday; Maintain professional competence; participate in curriculum development and Professional Learning Communities; Share in the sponsorship of student activities such as mathematics teams and other faculty committees; Participate cooperatively with the appropriate administrator in their evaluation and professional growth plan; Creates a classroom environment and lessons that are conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students (including differentiation and engagement); Displays effective classroom management and incorporates engaging student activities; Strive to implement, by instruction and action, the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives; Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Additional Opportunities: Coaching opportunities may be available for candidates interested in extracurricular involvement, though participation is not required.</p> <p>If you are passionate about education, possess the required qualifications, and are committed to the success of students, we invite you to visit our website https://www.englandlions.net/.
