We are looking for the strategic architect of the millwork category product portfolio. In this role, you are the technical manager of the millwork category in our ERP. You sit at the high-stakes intersection of negotiation, data integrity, and operational grit.</p> <p>About the Millwork Category Manager role:</p> <ul> <li>P&L Stewardship: A mindset of ownership over the millwork category's financial performance. You treat every dollar of inventory spent as if it were your own investment. </li><li>Technical Subject Matter Expertise: Deep, specialized knowledge of the millwork product family. You are the final authority on product specs, installation nuances, and vendor capabilities. </li><li>Operational Grit: The tenacity to hold vendors accountable and negotiate aggressively. You don't settle for "standard" terms; you push for the best possible position for Drexel. </li><li>Vigilant Inventory Management: An obsessive focus on the "Aging Clock." You have zero tolerance for dead stock or abandoned orders clogging the system. </li><li>Collaborative Influence: The ability to partner effectively with the Lead Estimator and Log Lead to ensure "Strategic Accuracy" across the entire quote-to-stock workflow. </li></ul> <p>Success Metrics:</p> <ul> <li>Category Health Index: Measuring the financial impact of estimating output (Percentage of stocked vs. non-stocked items estimated). </li><li>SO Aging Balance: Total dollar value of category custom inventory aged beyond 60 days. </li><li>Gross Margin ROI (GMROI): Profitability generated relative to the dollar investment in total category inventory. </li><li>Cost of Goods Optimization: Procurement cost reduction through aggressive vendor negotiation and rebate capture. </li><li>Takeoff Discrepancy Recovery: Partnering with the Lead Estimator to reduce the financial loss from "Shorts" or "Overages" caused by strategic misalignment. </li><li>Rebate Capture Rate: Percentage of category back-end dollars successfully collected (Goal: 100%). </li><li>Boneyard Recovery Rate: Speed and recovery rate of clearing dead stock or abandoned SO inventory through bi-annual liquidation events. </li></ul> <p>The Role in a Nutshell:</p> <p>You own the Millwork Category from birth to end in our ERP. You are the "Strategic Stakeholder" who ensures the Estimating team has the right product roadmap to ensure what we promise the builder is exactly what we buy, stock, and deliver.</p> <p>What You Bring (Competencies & Qualifications):</p> <ul> <li>Experience in running and leading a multi-million dollar product category. </li><li>Strong Knowledge of ERP systems (Spruce, Epicore, NetSuite, etc). </li><li>Experience in understanding and managing a P&L statement. </li><li>Experience in cost of goods optimization. </li><li>Strong understanding of construction estimating. </li></ul> <p>The Drexel Advantage:</p> <p>The Wealth-Builder (Ownership)</p> <ul> <li>ESOP Shares: We don't just work here; we own the place.
