<p>The Avery Dennison Identification Solutions group is looking for an Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team at our site in Miamisburg, Ohio. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to lead and execute cost savings projects that are directly tied to key strategic goals for the business.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities</p> <p>As an Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make an impact by:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Promoting safety as the most important value in the organization by contributing through training, process improvement and other environmental, health, and safety responsibilities</p> </li><li> <p>Documenting standard processes and procedures for implementation and training</p> </li><li> <p>Developing and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost efficient manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Providing support to manufacturing to resolve production and quality issues that arise on a day-to-day basis</p> </li><li> <p>Working with machine repair team members to analyze root cause and define corrective actions for future preventive maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Conducting technical inspections of complex machines</p> </li><li> <p>Recommending and implementing improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluating and approving design changes, specifications and drawing releases</p> </li><li> <p>Partnering with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to develop and execute projects that are a part of the Identifications Enterprise Lean Sigma journey</p> </li><li> <p>Managing special projects; which could include supplier relationships, production performance management, sustainability, and other ad hoc projects</p> </li><li> <p>Setting project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and solving problems</p> </li><li> <p>Defining requirements for new equipment validation run-off</p> </li><li> <p>Preparing new machines and production equipment for operation</p> </li><li> <p>Optimizing direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow through the use of industrial engineering methods including line balancing, time studies, as well as both in-plant and external material flow</p> </li><li> <p>Designing and planning equipment layouts</p> </li></ul> <p>To set you up for success in this role, Avery Dennison requires the following qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in related field (Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial) or 2-4 years of experience in an engineering function in a manufacturing environment</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledgeable in Electronic Systems (wire diagrams, schematics, PLC logic .. ect.)</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledgeable in Mechanical Systems (Cams, Torque requirements, ect.)</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent math and analytical skills</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and organization skills with an emphasis on detail</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of process documentation and improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office and Google Apps (mail, docs, sheets, slides, forms)</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed in this role are as follows:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Working experience in Oracle E-Business Suite R12</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient creating 3D models and 2D prints using Solidworks or related CAD software.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in AutoCAD 2D for facility layout planning</p> </li><li> <p>High-energy, self-directed, self-starter</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to execute multiple projects with minimal supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work comfortably in a dynamic, fast-paced, and matrixed organization</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements</p> </li></ul> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or other protected status.
