Together, we create our culture by living our values in our day-to-day interactions with our patients and teammates.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Clinical Support Tech is a vital member of the patient care team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The Clinical Support Tech provides basic patient care and supports unit operations by performing a combination of clinical and clerical tasks. Duties may include basic care activities, unit secretary responsibilities, and performing 12-lead EKGs.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Provide basic patient care, including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, intake/output documentation </li><li>Assist patients with bathing, grooming, eating, and other daily activities </li><li>Report abnormal findings to nursing staff </li><li>Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms </li><li>Perform clerical duties to support the nursing station </li><li>Conduct 12-lead EKGs </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skilld/Abilities/Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift/move patients and equipment </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer use </li><li>Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills </li><li>Experience with infection control and hospital safety standards </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent (Required) And </li><li>Postsecondary completion of CNA, PCT, CMA or EMT program (Required) </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Registered, Certified or Licensed in the state of practice as a CNA, PCT, CMA, or EMT (Required) </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required within 90 days of hire) </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting (Preferred) </li></ul>
