<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Child Life Specialist provides developmental and psychosocial support for pediatric patients and families in an out-patient setting. Assesses children's developmental and coping needs and provides preparation, age appropriate diversion and emotional support to minimize distress associated with hospitalization and/or medical encounters. Collaborates as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Child Life. Must have completed a child life internship under the direct supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist.
