The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 - 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.</p> <p>Why We Do This Work:</p> <p>The Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 has set an ambitious agenda for change, guided by the belief that all children, regardless of circumstances, can achieve at high levels and academic gaps can and will be eliminated with the support of teachers who deliver engaging, relevant, and academically rigorous instruction that excites students and instills a love of learning in them.</p> <p>Qualifications: Must have a valid Illinois Administrative Certificate Type 75, (Bilingual Certification and/or ESL endorsement preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience working with the administration of WIDA & IPT Screener and 5 years supervising similar positions.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>To develop two Timeline Plans to assess students K-12 on Saturday and during summer break.</p> </li><li> <p>In cooperation with the Secretary to the EL Director, prepare the Language Assessor posting to be sent to HR.</p> </li><li> <p>In collaboration with the Data Secretary, reserve the building to be used for testing.</p> </li><li> <p>In coordination with the EL Director, hire teachers.</p> </li><li> <p>To develop and conduct K-12 WIDA Training for spring & summer testing.</p> </li><li> <p>To coordinate with the Data Manager and/or Data Secretary to get the list of students to be assessed.</p> </li><li> <p>To supervise the scheduling of appointments for Saturday/summer testing.</p> </li><li> <p>During summer break: to hire assessors as needed to place students without delay.</p> </li><li> <p>To open the building each session and make sure the facility is ready.</p> </li><li> <p>To distribute all materials and forms needed for testing.</p> </li><li> <p>To supervise every aspect of the assessment of ELL students.</p> </li><li> <p>To close and secure the building each session.</p> </li><li> <p>To conduct an inventory of the testing materials, and return them to the Language Assessor's Office.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and maintain all Testing Scores Spreadsheets.</p> </li><li> <p>To submit the timesheets on schedule.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements: The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills in both Spanish & English, great team leader, capable of working with teachers, parents, and students, able to comply with strict deadlines, competent to work independently and under pressure.</p> <p>Salary: $48 per hour</p> <p>Work Year: 2025-2026</p> <p>Saturdays specified in the Spring Plan 2025/26</p> <p>Summer: TBD based on needs</p> <p>Dates may be adjusted based on District needs.</p> <p>Dates may be subject to change.</p> <p>Only online applications will be considered for interviews.</p> <p>Apply: www.wps60.org</p> <p>Waukegan Community Unit School District 60 offers employment opportunities without regard to age, gender, race, color, national origin,</p> <p>religion, marital or military/veteran status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, parental status, genetics, disability or other protected category.</p>
