However, applications will continue to be accepted until position is filled.</p> <p>STARTING SALARY: $81,452-$122,179/annually, depending on qualifications.</p> <p>STATUS: Regular (benefitted)</p> <p>Department will begin interviewing after Labor Day</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Legal Department</p> <p>SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the City Attorney, manages and directs activities related to the acquisition, disposition, leases, transfer, conveyance, appraisal, and management of the City's real property interests; manages all City-owned real property; ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations; oversees property inventories, and resolves disputes; and supervises City housing and deed restrictions.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Real Estate Development, Law, Economics, Finance, Urban Planning, Data Science, or other closely related field.</p> <p>Requires four (4) years of related experience in real property asset management, real estate sales or services (agent or broker), property management, title officer, or real property appraisal. Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills are required. May substitute an equivalent combination of job-related education and experience. Public sector experience preferred. Requires a valid Utah Driver's License. Prefer either a current Utah Real Estate License or current Utah Real Estate Appraisal License. A one-year probationary period is a pre-requisite for this position. Knowledge of real estate laws, zoning regulations and title procedures; pertinent federal, state, and local real estate and right-of-way laws, codes, ordinances, regulations and policies; principles and procedures related to the purchase, sale, lease, license or franchise of complex property transactions; financing techniques and practices; basic eminent domain procedures; familiarity with land use regulations, building regulations, zoning requirements, and conditional uses; various types of deeds and easements, title reports and abstracts, reading and writing legal descriptions, appraisal valuation methodologies, lease and franchise concepts, plat maps, county recording procedures and property taxes; correct English usage, spelling and vocabulary; general office practices and procedures; proper presentation skills for use when attending various committee meetings; and computers and word processing, spreadsheet and presentation programs and other related software packages.</p> <p>NOTE: Applications may only be submitted online at https://jobs.citysuitehr.com/sandycity.
