<p>Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer (IaC) to support a world leading technology organization in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. The Software Engineer (IaC) will design and automate the cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. The Software Engineer (IaC) role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong expertise in Python, Node.js, Terraform, Terragrunt, and CI/CD automation across Azure and AWS.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Software Engineer (IaC):</p> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Terragrunt for Azure and AWS. </li><li>Develop automation scripts and tooling in Python and Node.js to support deployment workflows. </li><li>Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable application delivery. </li><li>Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and quality controls into CI/CD processes. </li><li>Collaborate with development and cloud engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure infrastructure designs. </li><li>Troubleshoot and improve build, deployment, and cloud provisioning performance. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications of the Software Engineer (IaC):</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation roles. </li><li>Strong proficiency with Python and Node.js for scripting and automation. </li><li>Hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt in production environments. </li><li>Practical experience with both Azure and AWS cloud services. </li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins. </li><li>Solid understanding of Git workflows and collaborative development practices. </li><li>Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Software Engineer (IaC) includes:</p> <ul> <li>Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000 </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO </li><li>Remote work flexibility </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on 02/16/2026.
