<p>Under the direction of the AVP/Human Resources, performs a variety of duties to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the HR department in conformance with established policies and procedures of Rockland Federal Credit Union.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supports the HR team in Human Resources functions, including but not limited to payroll processing, file maintenance, performance management, training and development. Maintains the HR department calendar, tracking projects, activities, and compliance deadlines. </li><li>Collects and enters data via ADP payroll processing system. Works with managers to verify bi-weekly timecards and ensure proper payment. Assists SVP/HR with bi-weekly payroll processing and all ancillary functions, including payroll file maintenance and reporting. Confirms ADP tax reporting and maintains tax report records. </li><li>Maintains HRIS system (ADP). Make changes to salary, titles, employee status, etc. as directed. Develops proficiency in reporting system. Generate reports and create new reports as requested. Maintains ADP employee homepage. </li><li>Coordinates and responds to employee inquiries on health, dental, flexible spending, life, AD&D Long Term Disability, and 401k benefits. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness in submitting all enrollments, terminations, and changes to carriers. Reconciles monthly bills and perform audits on an as-needed basis. Coordinates COBRA benefits with vendor. participates in annual Open Enrollment process. </li><li>Maintains 401k/profit sharing eligibility. Inputs the necessary information into program website to ensure timely enrollment of new employees. Generates payroll report for deferral and match remittance and uploads information to CUNA. </li><li>Coordinates Workers Compensation process, including initial reports of accidents and ongoing communication with insurance companies. </li><li>Assists with employee leaves of absence. Collects appropriate documentation and maintains leave file. </li><li>Assists with the coordination of employee training, both internal and external, including scheduling and tracking. Maintains employee training records. </li><li>Maintains personnel files for all Credit Union employees relating to personal and employment data. Prepares files for archives. Assists with file audits and file conversion project; Ensures timely enrollment/termination of employees within the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), including annual renewal process. </li><li>Assists with the monthly and annual HR reports such as EEO-1, Veterans 4212 and others. Maintains HR reporting and compliance calendar. </li><li>Coordinates tuition reimbursement program compiles necessary documentation for approval by manager and prepares payment through payroll system. </li><li>Completes verifications of employment, unemployment, wage disclosure, 401k distribution request and other miscellaneous forms associated with confidential employee information. </li><li>Maintains employee loan and mortgage files. Purges files upon termination of employees and transfers files to Mortgage Services vault. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. </li><li>3+ years' experience in HR setting with a general understanding of general HR policies and procedures. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment and payroll laws. </li><li>Ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. </li><li>Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (ADP preferred.) </li><li>Solid technical skills with the ability to quickly learn software programs. </li><li>Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel spreadsheets. </li><li>Understanding of the importance of discretion and confidentiality. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>RFCU offers a comprehensive benefits package, including Cigna medical benefits, dental benefits, vision benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match and profit-sharing potential, flexible health and dependent care plans, and life, AD&D, and LTD insurance. If you're hired at Rockland Federal Credit Union, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We also take pay equity seriously and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please note that the range provided reflects the full base pay for this role.
