<p>Corporate Pilot (Captain)</p> <p>Pella, Iowa</p> <p>Take your aviation career to the executive level! Pella Corporation, a thriving, privately held company, is seeking to add an experienced Corporate Pilot to safely and professionally operate our company-owned aircraft, transporting senior leaders and valued customers. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical excellence with a customer-focused, corporate environment.</p> <p>This opportunity offers:</p> <ul> <li>Approximately 350 flight hours annually, with minimal weekend travel and the opportunity to be home most evenings-spending over 300 nights per year at home. </li><li>Flight schedules that are planned and communicated at least two weeks in advance, supporting strong work-life balance. </li><li>Trips that primarily involve transporting external customers (~40%), Pella team members (~30%), and board/executive leadership (~30%). </li><li>A generous benefits package, including 20 days of vacation available starting on your first day of employment. </li></ul> <p>If you thrive on responsibility, precision, and flying with purpose-this seat is yours.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operate Pella Corporation aircraft with an emphasis on safety, security, efficiency, and quality-upholding safety is paramount. </li><li>Exercise pilot in command authority of assigned flights and serve as the final authority on the safe conduct of those flights. Act with uncompromising integrity by doing the right thing without bending principles for convenience, expediency, or needs of the moment. </li><li>Understand and ensure compliance with applicable FARs and Pella Corporation's Flight Operations Manual. </li><li>Participate in the SMS by reporting safety hazards and concerns to identify risks and promote safety. </li><li>File flight plans and interpret weather data and NOTAMs based on flight plan. </li><li>Determine aircraft airworthiness through thorough preflight and postflight inspections and clearly report discrepancies to maintenance in a timely manner. </li><li>Represent Pella Corporation at an executive level when dealing with business associates, officials, and customers. </li><li>Obtain an FAA Type Rating for all company aircraft and maintain appropriate currency and certification requirements. </li><li>Complete ancillary duties, as assigned. These may include non-flying duties with other team members to ensure that the equipment, facilities, and crew members continuously meet or exceed Pella Corporation standards. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate</p> </li><li> <p>FAA First Class Medical Certificate</p> </li><li> <p>3,000 hours Total Airplanes</p> </li><li> <p>1,000 hours Pilot in Command</p> </li><li> <p>1,000 hours Turbojet</p> </li><li> <p>Type Rating in Learjet 45XR (LR-45) &/or Citation Sovereign+ (CE-680) (preferred)</p> </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Six years of related experience and/or training. </li><li>Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred. </li></ul> <p>Desired Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Strong communicator - professional, clear, concise, and transparent. </li><li>Shows discernment - treats sensitive and confidential information appropriately. </li><li>Quality-driven - delivers best-in-class experience. </li><li>Servant leader - sees the needs of others and acts without being asked. </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Comfortable operating Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Must be able to operate Foreflight for iPad application and other related software applications onboard aircraft. </li></ul> <p>Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess an FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate </li><li>May possess Commercial Certificate if ATP minimum standards are met </li><li>Must possess and maintain an FAA First Class Medical </li><li>Must possess a current US Passport </li></ul>
