<p>Medical Billing - Payment Poster</p> <p>Remote Position - Must Reside in CT, NY, NJ, or MA</p> <p>About the Position:</p> <p>Mountainside is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Poster to join our Revenue Cycle team. This position is responsible for accurately posting insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition.</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM</p> <p>Your Role:</p> <ul> <li>Accurately post insurance and patient payments from EOBs, ERAs, and deposits </li><li>Process and post adjustments and denials in accordance with payer guidelines </li><li>Research and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments </li><li>Maintain daily reconciliation of posted payments to bank deposits </li><li>Communicate payment discrepancies or issues to the billing and AR team </li><li>Track and report recurring denial trends to appropriate team members </li><li>Ensure all postings are completed within established timelines </li><li>Review payment batches for accuracy and completeness before finalizing </li><li>Assist in preparing refund documentation when necessary </li><li>Follow HIPAA and compliance guidelines at all times </li><li>Respond to internal inquiries regarding payment status or history </li><li>Maintain organized records and documentation for auditing purposes </li><li>Support monthly close process with timely and accurate posting </li><li>Collaborate with billing leadership on improving posting workflows </li><li>Provide backup support for other revenue cycle functions as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in medical billing or payment posting required </li><li>Experience with ERAs, EOBs, and electronic billing systems </li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy </li><li>Knowledge of insurance payment processes and terminology </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and medical billing platforms (experience with KIPU a plus) </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>The base rate of pay for this position is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
