Also responsible for kitchen sanitation and cleanliness. May also complete mandatory paperwork on a daily and monthly basis.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent </li><li>Previous food service experience preferred. </li><li>Good organizational and communications skills. </li><li>Good attendance record. </li><li>Must be ServSafe Manager certified within 6 months of hire </li></ul> <p>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>May include, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assists in management operations and covers all duties when the Cafeteria Manager is absent. </li><li>Prepares meals for IPSEP, Extended Day, and Early Childhood according to the planned menu. </li><li>Follow menu specifications as developed by the USDA Food Program, Manager, and Menu Planner. Prepare hot/cold food as scheduled with the posted menus for breakfast, lunch and snacks and maintain proper portion controls per menu specifications. </li><li>Manages the operation of kitchen and serving areas for preschool family style meals </li><li>Distributes family style meals to classrooms. </li><li>Assists in food preparation according to food safety standards. </li><li>Assists with serving food as described in the production records. </li><li>Assists with cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen and equipment. </li><li>Clean and sanitize all serving platters, utensils, trays, and cooking equipment used in preparation and service of Pre-K Family Meals </li><li>Bending, lifting, and overhead work required. </li><li>Assists with ordering, inventory, and communicating kitchen needs. </li><li>Assist with maintaining temperature logs, production records and daily, weekly, monthly reports, as assigned. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager or Director of Food Service </li></ul> <p>This description is intended to describe the essential job functions, the general supplemental functions and the essential requirements for the performance of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. Occasionally the employee will bend or twist at the neck more than the average person. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs such as boxes of books. The employee is directly responsible for safety, well-being, or work output of other people.
