This role serves as the night supervisor, overseeing operations and facility management during recreational hours. If you're someone who enjoys working with the public and is committed to excellent service, we encourage you to apply.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>What is the compensation?</p> <p>Pay Rate: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour (depending on experience)</p> <p>Part-time Provo City employees are eligible to contribute to individual retirement savings plans through the City (401k, 457, Roth IRA, and/or Traditional IRA) and receive the following great benefits: a) free admission to the Provo Recreation Center, Peaks Ice Arena Public Skating, and Provo Shooting Sports Park; b) a free Provo City Library Card; c) a 25% discount on Provo Recreation Center memberships (direct family only); and d) discounts from various local and national vendors.</p> <p>What will I do?</p> <ul> <li> <p>Oversee operations and staff for the ice arena.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the facility and its programs are maintained throughout a scheduled shift including, admissions, rentals, concessions, and general facility maintenance and upkeep.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage patron concerns, safety incidents, and crowd flow.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist full-time personnel and other employees as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>What do I need to apply?</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be 18 years of age.</p> </li><li> <p>Sufficient experience and/or training which would demonstrate an ability to successfully perform the duties of the job.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to learn quickly.</p> </li><li> <p>Customer service experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervisory experience preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>What are the hours?</p> <p>This position oversees the Ice Arena Monday-Friday during the nighttime shift from approximately 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. About 15-25 hours a week.</p> <p>What are the physical and environmental factors?</p> <p>This position requires interaction with the public in busy and often stressful circumstances. This position is indoors with specialty conditions that are associated with operating an ice rink including cool temperatures and bright lights.</p> <p>What is the selection process?</p> <p>This position is open until filled and will be closed when sufficient, qualified applications to proceed with a competitive selection process have been received (at least seven days).
