<p>Who We Are:</p> <p>The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Cafeteria Security Aide for Lagonda Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. We are Wildcats!</p> <p>As a Cafe Security Aide you are required to:</p> <ul> <li>A High School diploma or equivalent </li><li>Possess Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education </li></ul> <p>As a Cafe Security Aide you will:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting students in proper behavior before, during, and exiting the cafeteria </li><li>Assist with decorations of the cafeteria, especially to reinforce good behavior and eating habits </li><li>Assisting staff and students in keeping the cafeteria clean and neat. This may at times include the picking up of litter and helping wipe tables </li><li>Ability to operate cafeteria tables and assists in folding and moving tables as needed </li><li>Carries out established behavior modification programs </li><li>Assist with recordkeeping functions when deemed necessary. This may be in the school office when cafeteria duties completed </li><li>Participating and supervising during emergency preparedness drills </li><li>Assisting with feeding, lifting, and/or moving students </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <p>As a contracted employee, this position works 2 hours per day, 188 days per year.</p> <p>Monday - Friday 11:00am - 1:00pm or as assigned (can work up to 2.5 hours per day)</p> <p>Starting salary is $20.19 per hour</p> <p>Salary and other details available online in the Springfield Education United Support Staff agreement (SEUSS)</p>
