<p>Job Description</p> <p>Timmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Roadway Design Transportation Group in Charlotte, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful transportation projects and grow your career with a collaborative and innovative team.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Design horizontal alignments and vertical profiles for roadway widening and improvement projects </li><li>Develop 3D models and plans using AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer </li><li>Create visualizations for client and public presentations using 3D software </li><li>Prepare detailed plan sheets and complete project submission packages </li><li>Perform roadway and drainage calculations using engineering software and reference materials </li><li>Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates </li><li>Research and utilize open-source GIS data for project planning </li><li>Conduct field observations and data collection to support design discussions </li><li>Stay current with emerging technologies to enhance team capabilities </li><li>Participate in client and contractor meetings to support project delivery </li></ul> <p>Skill/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field </li><li>2+ years of experience in transportation civil engineering, specifically roadway design </li><li>Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D (preferred) </li><li>Familiarity with NCDOT/VDOT standards and procedures (preferred) </li><li>EIT certification (preferred) </li></ul>
