At Interim HealthCare Hospice, our nurses play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care.</p> <p>Our Hospice On-Call Registered Nurses enjoy some notable benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Salary range of $85,000-$90,000/year based on experience </li><li>Eligible for performance and tenure-based bonuses </li><li>1:1 nurse-to-patient ratios where you make an impact </li><li>Flexible assignments, autonomy, and work-life balance </li><li>Online training, growth and ability to earn CEUs </li><li>Paid Time Off and Company Paid Holidays </li><li>Medical/Dental/Vision/Disability/Life insurance offered </li><li>Participation in 401(k) after one year of employment </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Monday-Friday: 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM </li><li>Weekend: Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 8:00 AM </li><li>Rotating: 7 days on, 7 days off </li></ul> <p>Service Area:</p> <p>Newport News, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Deep Creek, and surrounding areas within a 50-mile radius of the Virginia Beach office</p> <p>As a Hospice On-Call RN, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Provide after-hours and weekend on-call nursing support to hospice patients and families </li><li>Respond to urgent patient needs, including symptom management, changes in condition, and crisis intervention </li><li>Complete initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments, including physical and psychosocial status </li><li>Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards </li><li>Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary group (IDG), physician, and patient/family </li><li>Coordinate care across the IDG and external providers to ensure continuity and quality of care </li><li>Evaluate patient needs and facilitate appropriate levels of care (e.g., inpatient, respite, continuous care) when indicated </li><li>Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding care plans, medications, and disease progression </li><li>Ensure availability of medical equipment, medications, and necessary supplies </li><li>Supervise and direct care provided by LPNs, hospice aides, and other support staff </li><li>Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning </li><li>Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all patient interactions and services provided </li><li>Support quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives </li></ul> <p>A few must-haves for Hospice Registered Nurses:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in Virginia </li><li>CPR Certification </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience </li><li>Strongly preferred: prior hospice and/or on-call experience </li><li>Knowledge of state and federal home health/hospice regulations </li><li>Excellent clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills </li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation </li></ul> <p>Interim HealthCare provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.</p>
