<p>The Opportunity</p> <p>WSP, one of the nation's strongest energy-related engineering and environmental consultants, is currently seeking a Project Cost Controls Specialist.</p> <p>This position includes the ability to work remotely from a mutually agreed upon location. Employees may travel to office for periodic meetings.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <p>The Project Controls Specialist works closely with the Project Manager in the overall management of the project. This individual must have an intermediate understanding of complex projects and how they work, high levels of cost knowledge, and the ability to interact productively with key members of a project team with a variety of backgrounds. An intermediate level of understanding of Earned Value Management is also a must. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Identify work scope, technical sequencing, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) </li><li>Communicate with various project teams and internal work groups </li><li>Work with engineering managers to ensure the schedule represents the execution plan </li><li>Report project progress to project manager leads and provide visibility to critical deliverables through regular meetings </li><li>Utilize look-ahead schedules to help manage the work with internal teams </li><li>Prepare cost performance and cash flow projections utilizing budget </li><li>Manage changes and keep teams aware of changes to the budget and schedule </li><li>Update individual tasks and Project Performance Indicators as indicated on progress updates </li><li>Review and report on project accruals and expenditures. </li><li>Assist with project closeout </li><li>Ideal candidate should be a self-starter and able to work independently </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <ul> <li>BA in Business, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management </li><li>Advanced MS Excel skills </li><li>Candidate must have 4 years of professional experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Electrical utilities and power distribution experience is desirable </li><li>Certification from AACE or PMI is desirable </li><li>ERP, P6, and MS Project knowledge is desirable </li></ul> <p>WSP Benefits:</p> <p>WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career. These benefits include coverage related to medical, dental, vision, disability, and life; retirement savings; paid sick leave; paid vacation (or other personal time); paid parental leave; and paid time off for purposes of bereavement, voting, and/or attendance at naturalization proceedings.</p> <p>Base Salary Range: $88,500-$108,200 per year</p> <p>The range for this position is displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.</p> <p>#LI-DC3</p>
