<p>Atrium is partnering with a restaurant group seeking a Staff Accountant. With multiple locations and concepts, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences and are seeking dedicated professionals to help maintain their financial excellence.</p> <p>Salary/Hourly Rate:</p> <p>$50k - $60k</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Staff Accountant will support the financial operations of a multi-unit restaurant group with a strong emphasis on cash management and daily cash audits. This role ensures accuracy in cash handling, reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls, while assisting with month-end close and reporting.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct daily cash audits for all restaurant locations to verify compliance with company policies. </li><li>Reconcile cash deposits, POS reports, and bank activity; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly. </li><li>Prepare and post journal entries related to cash transactions. </li><li>Monitor and maintain accurate cash flow records; assist with cash forecasting. </li><li>Collaborate with restaurant managers to address cash handling issues and provide guidance on best practices. </li><li>Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. </li><li>Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations. </li><li>Prepare reports on cash performance and trends for management review. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of accounting experience with a focus on cash management. </li><li>Strong understanding of cash handling processes and internal controls. </li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). </li><li>Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry. </li><li>Familiarity with POS systems and multi-unit operations. </li><li>Knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree is required. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Paid time off and company holidays. </li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance. </li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development. </li></ul>
