<p>Department: Temp Center</p> <p>Salary/Grade: TMP/01</p> <p>Position: Temporary Administrative Assistant 1</p> <p>Hours: This is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week/ 4-5 hrs/day / M-Th)</p> <p>Pay: $24.50 per hour</p> <p>Campus: Evanston</p> <p>Approximate start date: 6/8/2026</p> <p>Approximate end date: 12/18/2026</p> <p>Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Part-time Administrative Assistant 1 for the Evanston campus.</p> <p>Temporary Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Provides day-to-day administrative, clerical, and financial support using applicable skills, methods, and practices with some innovation and reasoning to troubleshoot as needed. </li><li>Expense reimbursements </li><li>Processing Payments </li><li>Purchase Orders (office supplies) </li><li>Financial Data Entry </li><li>Clerical support </li><li>Station the front desk & answer main phone line </li><li>Greet visitors and ensure building access is granted </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications Required:</p> <p>High school diploma</p> <p>1-2 years experience in clerical support</p> <p>1-2 years experience in financial support</p> <p>Great attention to detail</p> <p>Patience to file paperwork</p> <p>Good communication skills</p> <p>Knowledge of Office Suite/computers/software</p> <p>Ability to work independently</p> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> <p>Associate Degree</p> <p>Familiarity with Northwestern systems such as NU Financials.</p> <p>Experience with other expense report systems</p> <p>In addition to salary, this temporary position is eligible for paid time off and paid sick time in accordance with Northwestern University policies.
