<p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development of the Brand strategy - including resource levels, optimal inventory levels to support strategy, dealer recruitment, and drive the execution of these strategies to achieve objectives. </li><li>Proactively communicate business development opportunities and keep the sales team and other team members informed. </li><li>Support the development and drive the execution of applicable Brands strategies for the dealer / trade business base. </li><li>Demonstrate strong leadership, promote team effectiveness and collaboration and live the Gemaire Distributors core values. </li><li>Develop strong business relationships with customers, providing a solid understanding of their needs and effectively share that knowledge throughout the organization. </li><li>Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service team to optimize Brands awareness and programs. </li><li>Grow market share and prospect for new business in assigned market. </li><li>Achieve or exceed individual territory sales budget as well as contributing additional sales to help achieve overall regional sales budgets. </li><li>Take a proactive approach to sales development and problem-solving. </li></ul> <p>Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>S. in Business or related field preferred. </li><li>At least 7 years of related sales experience, including 5 or more years selling HVAC to dealers or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Driver's License: Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Driver's License. </li><li>Able to build and retain relationships with key accounts is necessary for successful execution of the position. </li><li>Strategic thinker who is comfortable challenging the status quo and that can effectively implement change. </li><li>Able to instill a strong sense of accountability with the sales teams within their region. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Branch: Frequently required to stand, walk, and move throughout the branch office and warehouse environment. </li><li>Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally (e.g., inventory, product displays). </li><li>Regularly required to operate standard office and warehouse equipment such as computers, printers, ladders, forklifts or pallet jacks. </li><li>Requires bending, stooping, reaching, and handling of products and paperwork. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams in person, over the phone or on a computer. </li><li>Travel requirement will be approximately 50% of time or more. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Travel required</p> <p>Physical Demands Frequency Demand</p> <p>Sedentary - Lifting 0-10 pounds Never</p> <p>Light Lifting - 10-20 pounds Never</p> <p>Moderate Lifting - 20 to 50 pounds Never</p> <p>Heavy Lifting - 50 to 100 pounds Never</p> <p>Pulling/Pushing, Carrying</p> <p>Reaching or working above shoulder Never</p> <p>Walking Frequent</p> <p>Standing Frequent</p> <p>Sitting Frequent</p> <p>Stooping Never</p> <p>Kneeling Never</p> <p>Repeated Bending Never</p> <p>Climbing Never</p> <p>Desk Work/Computer use/Telephone use Constant</p> <p>Operating a motor vehicle Occasional</p> <p>Operating a commercial vehicle Never</p> <p>Operating warehouse equipment, forklift, baseloid lift etc Never</p> <p>Other - Talk, Drive, visit customers etc. Constant</p> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>Watsco and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate on the basis of age, color , race, religion, disability, sex, or national origin. This position will work with and through the VP of Sales to Support Ductless and Commercial Initiatives. This candidate will support and grow sales, profitability, market share and brand recognition within the Southeast Division. This candidate will also be bringing on business and managing the accounts they bring on. The Business Development Manager is responsible for providing leadership as well as a strategic and operational direction for the team they are supporting.</p>
