<p>City, State:</p> <p>North Bergen, New Jersey</p> <p>Pay Range: $16-$17 per hour</p> <p>The purpose of a HOUSEPERSON is to assist room attendants in preparing guest rooms.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist room attendants with stripping beds and removing used linen and towels. </li><li>Deliver towels to laundry for cleaning. </li><li>Deliver fresh towels and linens to room attendants for guest rooms. </li><li>Deliver additional supplies to room attendants as needed and as necessary. </li><li>Effectively communicate with room attendants to ensure efficient and timely cleaning of guest rooms. </li><li>Vacuum hallways of guest room floors. </li><li>Perform all duties in accordance with brand standards and with emphasis on meeting or exceeding guest expectations. </li><li>Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor. </li><li>Provides professional and courteous service at all times. </li><li>Cleans and maintains all public areas, restaurants, bars, restrooms, storage areas and administrative areas. </li><li>Deep cleans carpets, elevator, gym, stairwells, meeting spaces and all other public areas </li><li>Cleans rooms on request. </li><li>Runs supplies and service items to guestrooms as requested. </li><li>Polishes metalwork and furniture. </li><li>Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in appropriate locations. </li><li>Completes laundry and strips rooms if any from the day. </li><li>Removes and disposes of trash. </li><li>Refurnishes areas with supplies as required. </li><li>Cleans outside areas including parking lot, porte cochere and other arrival areas. </li><li>Attends monthly department meetings. </li><li>Completes projects as determined by housekeeping manager. </li><li>Walks the floors every two hours. Reports any unsafe items or issues noticed during their walk and any issues in the public areas. </li><li>Performs light engineering duties on request.
