<p>Danvers Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and passionate High Brass Private Music Lessons Instructor to join our district's music program to teach after school hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing private music instruction to students of various ages and skill levels (elementary through high school). The instructor will work closely with students to develop their musical abilities, foster a love for music, and support their overall musical growth and development. Provide private music instruction to students grades 4-12 on high brass instruments. Develop personalized lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the goals and objectives of each student. Teach proper techniques, musical theory, sight-reading, and performance skills relevant to the high brass instruments. Monitor student progress and provide ongoing feedback, encouragement, and support to facilitate improvement. Prepare students for performances, auditions, competitions, and other musical opportunities as appropriate. Collaborate with other music educators and school staff to support the overall music program and integrate private lessons with classroom instruction. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans. Communicate effectively with students, families, and school administrators regarding student progress, concerns, and scheduling. Stay informed about current trends, methodologies, and resources in music education through professional development opportunities and ongoing self-study. WORKING CONDITIONS The Private Music Lessons Instructor will work at Danvers High School, providing instruction in designated classrooms or practice rooms. The position involves after school and evening hours to accommodate student schedules and extracurricular activities. The instructor will interact with students, families, colleagues, and school administrators on a regular basis, both in-person and through electronic communication channels.
