The intent of this position is to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill short term trades and maintenance needs in various capacities throughout the City.</p> <p>Duties include but are not limited to</p> <p>Duties are specific to the needs of the department. Below is a sample of job duties:</p> <p>Maintenance Worker</p> <ul> <li>Maintains grounds including cutting lawn, trimming branches, removing debris; conducts equipment maintenance such as service requests. Provides routine and heavy cleaning tasks. Provides minor repairs. Assists skilled trade staff by performing supporting tasks. Operates a variety of machines and equipment. Handles traffic control, as needed. Assists with snow and ice removal. </li><li>Collects, clears, and picks up debris and trash from designated spaces. </li><li>Assists with various events, including event set-up and tear-down. </li><li>Performs facility checks and inspections, if applicable. </li><li>Assists citizens as needed. </li></ul> <p>Trades</p> <p>Provides trades specific duties to include:</p> <ul> <li>Cleaning and performing preventative maintenance </li><li>Performing scheduled inspections </li><li>Troubleshooting and making repairs; </li><li>Preparing and completing work orders; </li><li>Following all safety policies and procedures. </li></ul>
