<p>Job Summary</p> <p>A Document Control Coordinator is responsible for performing document control activities utilizing multiple databases, following established procedures to issue and maintain controlled Engineering documentation, for use by manufacturing and other departments across Nordson EFD locations.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate the release and revision process for controlled documentation, ensuring compliance with established procedures and working with affected departments. </li><li>Manage archival and maintenance of controlled documentation </li><li>Provide assistance and guidance to Engineering personnel with their document support needs to help resolve their specific documentation issues. </li><li>Assist in the Engineering Change Process and its associated activities for the release and revision controlled documents, Bill of Materials (BOMS) and records. </li><li>Perform Material Master processing functions in ERP System </li><li>Perform BOM system data entry functions in ERP System </li><li>Responsible for the operation of multiple databases, currently includes Engineering Change Request (ECR) / Engineering Change Order (ECO) Database and the Material Master Request (MMR) </li><li>Perform routine and non-routine tasks, focus on customer needs and satisfaction, and facilitate efficient and accurate processing of controlled Engineering documentation and records. </li><li>Assist in preparation, input, opening and management of ECR/ECO's in the ECR/ECO Intranet system. </li><li>Assist in implementing non-routine processing for engineering documentation. </li><li>Input the necessary information into the Nordson EFD Business System and process new part number, new/revised material master, part extensions and bill of material requests. Ensure compliance to procedures. </li><li>Ensure that all new part numbers and material master requests comply with applicable Product Compliance, Import and Export procedures prior to issuance. </li><li>Troubleshoot business system problems related to Material Master Data. </li><li>Assists in aiding Engineering and Manufacturing personnel located both locally and in other Nordson EFD sites in processing their documentation releases and changes into the documentation system and helping resolve their specific documentation problems. </li><li>Assists training and direction to other clerical personnel. Begin to cross train on other department position tasks for provision of backup support. </li><li>Assist in the creation and maintenance of departmental work instructions and standard operating procedures. </li><li>Additional responsibilities as requested or required. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>3 to 5 years of document control experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment </li><li>Working knowledge of manufacturing, product, and design related processes. </li><li>Proficiency working with an ERP system and Microsoft Office software. </li><li>Must be able to work on multiple projects accurately and efficiently </li><li>Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. </li><li>Some knowledge or experience with Product Compliance, Import and Export Control regulations and requirements as they apply to Engineering. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree with 1 to 3 years of document control experience in a manufacturing /engineering environment. </li><li>Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Works with normal departmental level supervision and assists in setting priorities with manager and assists in negotiating priorities with customers. Completes assigned tasks within specified time limits. </li><li>Demonstrated intermediate skills in documenting, recording and maintaining facts, information and records in a detailed and accurate manner. </li><li>Projects a positive, professional image and maintain effective working relationships with people inside and on a limited basis outside the department. </li><li>Listens actively and expresses oneself clearly both orally and in writing. Displays good people. Maintains good working relationships with coworkers inside and outside the department. </li><li>Assists with and manages priorities, time, and monitors work flow in a systematic and dependable manner. Able to handle some multiple assignments. </li><li>Exhibits intermediate level problem solving and assists in engagement of a variety of resources to resolve issues or develop new and improved methods of work. </li><li>Demonstrates a clear commitment to excellence and delivers services that consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. </li><li>Ability to work with business system software, Excel forms, MS Office, MS Access, SharePoint and other systems; proficiency in SAP & GreenSoft would be a plus. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Demands</p> <p>Office environment.
