This role owns the development and execution of multi-year product roadmaps, driving feature definition, product enhancements, and ensuring alignment with market needs, business goals, and customer expectations.</p> <p>Operating in a deeply cross-functional environment, the Senior Manager, Product Management and Planning acts as a bridge between global teams, collaborating with regional and international stakeholders to coordinate and deliver high-impact product initiatives. The role includes market analysis, strategic positioning, and business planning to support new product development and commercialization.</p> <p>The Senior Manager, Product Management and Planning plays a leadership role in steering product initiatives from concept to launch and beyond, incorporating customer feedback and market trends to guide continuous improvement. The role requires strong project and program management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. This individual is also expected to drive innovation, lead cross-functional teams, and influence change across the organization.</p> <p>Key Duties & Responsibilities</p> <p>Program & Project Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead complex, cross-functional product development programs from concept through launch, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery </li><li>Develop and execute detailed program plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies </li><li>Ensure effective governance through structured stage-gate processes, compliance standards, and smooth handoffs between teams </li><li>Own program outcomes and maintain alignment of stakeholder expectations across global and multifunctional teams </li><li>Drive continuous improvement by leading retrospectives and documenting lessons learned, risks, and key decisions </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional & Global Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Act as the primary liaison between U.S. and international teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication </li><li>Facilitate collaboration across hardware, software, systems, marketing, engineering, and sales teams to support product execution and readiness </li><li>Conduct regular cross-functional meetings to manage priorities, resolve issues, and maintain program momentum </li><li>Represent regional and functional needs to global stakeholders, influencing product direction and building consensus </li><li>Provide regular program updates through reports, dashboards, and executive presentations </li></ul> <p>Product Strategy & Market Alignment</p> <ul> <li>Own the development and refinement of 3-5 year product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and evolving market needs </li><li>Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing to translate customer insights into actionable product features </li><li>Support the full product lifecycle, including development, enhancement, launch, and end-of-life planning </li><li>Drive go-to-market readiness by coordinating product launches and ensuring cross-functional alignment and execution </li><li>Gather and integrate customer, market, and competitive insights to guide strategic planning and roadmap decisions </li></ul> <p>Business Analysis & Strategic Decision Support</p> <ul> <li>Conduct market, customer, and competitive research to identify new opportunities and unmet needs </li><li>Build and present business cases for new product initiatives and enhancements. </li><li>Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform innovation and strategic product adjustments </li><li>Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations that influence executive decision-making </li></ul> <p>Key Experience & Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Business, operations, engineering, or related field Required </li><li>Master's Degree (or equivalent experience) MBA Preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <p>Minimum 8 years Required</p> <ul> <li>A combination of experience spanning the following areas: Experience in a management/strategy consulting role, engaged in projects for either a consulting firm or as part of a defined in-house consulting team; Experience in program management, product planning or development, or related roles in a technology or engineering-driven environment; Experience with product lifecycle management tools, stage-gate processes, and Agile methodologies </li></ul> <p>Minimum 5 years Required</p> <ul> <li>Experience in product launch excellence, including the following areas: experience independently executing on full-cycle product management, including development, strategy, launch, and enablement; experience with business planning & analysis in support of new product introduction; experience interfacing with customers, partners, sales teams, vendors, and other stakeholders </li></ul> <p>Minimum 2 years Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Experience in R&D or Innovation Department under the direction of an experienced Product Development manager </li></ul> <p>Software/Technical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project (and/or other software tools for project planning and operations) Advanced Required </li><li>Technical product expertise Advanced Required </li><li>Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams) Intermediate Required </li><li>Knowledge of Tableau Intermediate Preferred </li><li>Knowledge of Salesforce Intermediate Preferred </li></ul> <p>Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively advocate for product roadmaps and strategies Required </li><li>Skilled at leading presentations and training sessions for internal and external stakeholders Required </li><li>Ability to influence and drive progress without direct authority Required </li><li>Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams on key projects in a global, collaborative environment Required </li><li>Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and goals Required </li><li>Capable of working independently and within cross-functional teams across diverse departments Required </li><li>Strong critical thinking skills to move strategy into actionable plans; Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid</p> <p>Base Salary</p> <ul> <li>The targeted base salary range for this position is?$150,000 - $175,000 per year. </li><li>Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data. </li></ul> <p>Additional Compensation</p> <ul> <li>This position is eligible for a 20% bonus at 100% of target, with the opportunity to achieve above 100% dependent on company performance and in alignment with company bonus plans. </li><li>Bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon individual performance as well as Brother achieving its corporate objectives, in accordance with the applicable bonus plan in effect. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Benefits include, but are not limited to, healthcare and wellness coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and paid time off. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group. Brother also has employees based in other locations, such as Westminster, CO, where many of our marketing and product engineering team members from the mobile solutions division operate, as well as our distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA.
