Come join our team!</p> <p>Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Based in Berlin, CT, the Pyrometry Technician will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Quality Manager to meet customer specifications, including assisting other employees as needed.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, the following.</p> <ul> <li>Completes temperature uniformity survey documentation and review. </li><li>Responsible for the inventory of consumable maintenance supplies pertaining to calibration and inspection. </li><li>Performs system accuracy checks under the direction of the Quality Manager. </li><li>Reads and understands the Quality Manual and related procedures. </li><li>Bring any irregularities, discrepancies, or concerns to the supervisor immediately. </li><li>Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping. </li><li>Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position. </li><li>This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customers' inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage. </li><li>Monitor and maintain instruments, including instrument recall, instrument calibration, monitor and maintain process control testing, temperature uniformity surveys, quench effectiveness, monthly mechanical testing, surface contamination test, carb/de-carb test, IGA and IGO test, burnouts, and leak ups. </li><li>Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism. </li><li>Knowledge and hands-on experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
