<p>Title: Regional Workforce Coordinator</p> <p>Employee Classification: Clerical & Secretarial</p> <p>Institution: System Office</p> <p>Department: Center for Workforce Development</p> <p>Campus Location: Tennessee Board of Regents System Office</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The primary function of the Regional Workforce Coordinator is, in cooperation with the colleges' workforce development offices, to cultivate partnerships involving innovative curricular designs to address the workforce development needs of business/industry in an assigned region. The Regional Workforce Coordinator will collaborate with a diverse clientele including system and campus leaders, faculty, staff, business & industry leaders, and state agencies to design and develop innovative and adaptive curricula to support TBR institutions of higher education and our mission of student success and workforce development. The Strategist will also be responsible for workforce development projects resulting from TNWORKS which could include researching new programs and partnerships and leading strategic sessions to engage regional colleges in these opportunities.</p> <p>This position may have the opportunity to work remote within the state of Tennessee but with periodic visits to the TBR System Office (Nashville, TN) at the employee's expense, and potential travel to Tennessee TBR colleges may be necessary.</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>30% - In partnership with the technical and community college workforce leaders - research, explore, evaluate, develop and share effective/innovative curricular models to address workforce development needs in an assigned region. This should include theory to practice from current research in the field and successful programs that can be replicated, piloted, and implemented to address immediate and long-term workforce needs. - (Essential) </li><li>20% - Prepare professional development materials, reports, presentations and lead conversations about effective workforce development strategies and possible applications in Tennessee's foundational, core and emerging industries. - (Essential) </li><li>20% - Work collaboratively with other members of the CFWD Team and regional leads for the state's Department of Labor/WFD and Economic & Community Development. - (Essential) </li><li>20% - Serve as a project manager in developing and piloting regional workforce development training programs in partnership with TBR colleges' workforce development offices. Engage with subject matter experts and stakeholders in the design of the training and in support of institutionally delivered courses. - (Essential) </li><li>10% - Participate in TNWORKS projects related to new curriculum implementation. Prepare reports and present findings to campus and system leaders. Other tasks as assigned. - (Marginal) </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>3 years' experience working on a college campus, system office, or workforce organization </li><li>Curriculum and or/workforce training development experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>learning management systems; secondary and higher education structures </li><li>curricular design principles, assessment and evaluation methods; effective pedagogical practices </li><li>Tennessee higher education landscape including degree programs, certificates, diplomas, TTPs, and articulation & transfer relationships </li></ul> <p>Skill with:</p> <ul> <li>office software/technology such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive and MS Teams; computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, data entry) </li><li>interpersonal skills consistent with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships; strong communication, teaching, and training skills. </li><li>design, development, assessment, and delivery of content </li><li>complex problem solving </li><li>written and oral communication </li></ul> <p>Ability to:</p> <ul> <li>present information clearly and concisely </li><li>present data contextualized/customized for target audience </li><li>use data to drive curriculum development </li><li>take initiative </li><li>identify and solve problems </li><li>work with a diverse population </li><li>facilitate meetings of all types </li><li>develop and maintain positive collaborative working partnerships </li><li>prioritize and meet deadlines </li><li>manage multiple projects both independently and in teams </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands / Working Conditions</p>
