<p>About the Role</p> <p>The Director of Merchandise Presentation & Space Optimization is responsible for managing all aspects of merchandise presentation and optimizing productivity of store space, supporting an engaging, consistent and logical customer journey in Fleet Farm stores. This position will be responsible for all planogramming, overseeing store formats, flow and adjacency plans, as well as monitoring store space/sales performance and making recommendations to leadership to enhance store sales and profitability informed by data-based testing and application of predictive analytics. Additionally, this role will lead submission and approval process for all "Off-Shelf" merchandise locations, including in aisle, end cap and register area.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Lead team of Merchandise Presentation Analysts in delivery of comprehensive, accurate planograms by setting priorities, assigning workload, and ensuring timely execution of merchandising initiatives. </li><li>Foster an environment of continuous improvement in merchandising sets, yielding improved sales, more timely transitions and optimized store labor </li><li>Work closely with senior merchants, marketing and other key stakeholders to create successful, well-coordinated impactful store presentations </li><li>Partner with brand businesses to leverage market and category knowledge, planograms, to offset internal payroll and exploit industry expertise </li><li>Orchestrate larger seasonal store merchandising sets, ensuring clear executable direction to stores </li><li>Develop and lead process for submission/approvals for end caps, front of store focal points (in aisle/vestibule/registers) for multi-merchant coordinated areas of the store </li><li>Partner with marketing team to ensure key categories and seasonal call outs are appropriately called out, with leveraging an astute eye for consistency, visual hierarchy and scale of messaging in store </li><li>Develop coach and train team with focus on succession planning, retention and positive engagement </li><li>Facilitate monthly communication with store reset project coordinators to share upcoming reset information, inform of process updates/changes, and provide a platform for open dialogue between the SSC and the store team </li><li>Lead change with a positive, collaborative engaging leadership approach </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience. </li><li>5+ years in brick-and-mortar retail merchandising leadership.
