<p>The Chemistry Department at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an adjunct instructor. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a 100-level course in chemistry, such as Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry (CHEM104), Introduction to Chemistry (CHEM103), or General Chemistry I (CHEM150) with any associated lab session. This is a part-time, non-tenure track position.</p> <p>The position will include but is not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>lecture preparation and delivery </li><li>oversight of laboratory experiments </li><li>creation and grading of assessments </li><li>classroom management </li><li>coordination with other members of the department as there are multiple sections of these courses each semester. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>? A demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and outstanding interpersonal and collaborative team skills are required.</p> <p>? Experience with or interest in alternative instructional modes, such as web-based instruction, cooperative learning or integrated curricula is preferred.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>? Masters in chemistry or a related discipline is required.</p> <p>? Ph.D. in chemistry or related discipline is preferred</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
