<p>MWH is a leading water and wastewater treatment focused general contractor in the US with a rich history dating back to the 19th century Fueled by the mission of Building a Better World our teams are rapidly growing across the nation As a company committed to our teams well being and growth we offer a supportive work environment opportunities for advancement and the chance to contribute to a mission that shapes the future Your expertise and ambition are valued here The work we do matters The critical systems infrastructure we build changes lives betters communities and improves ecosystems If youre passionate about this we want to hear from you About the Role MWH is currently seeking a qualified Project Controls Specialist to support work out of Corona CA The ideal candidate must have the necessary experience and complimentary skill set in both cost controls and scheduling Essential Functions Cost Controls Evaluate and adjust data regarding project cost forecasts resource requirements commitment data and productivity variance reportsRegularly manage all cost functions of the projects Project Management Information SystemAssist the Project Manager with managing the project change management process Work with team members to prepare and facilitate delivery of all necessary scope change notice and cost documents to client for approvalPrepare monthly billings to client based on costs incurredDevelop and prepare both internal and external monthly project progress summary reportsAssist Project Manager in writing distributing and managing Subcontracts and Purchase AgreementsDevelop budgets cash flow projections and any project specific reports tools or spreadsheetsInterface and maintain liaison with project management client home office and other consultants on all project cost related topicsAssist with establishing implementing and documenting job specific project controls standardsAssist in the collection filing and turnover of all project documents and contractsScheduling Develop accurate schedules using industry best practices and insight from project team membersUpdate project schedules in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices Communicate results to project team and suggest action when necessaryManage project change regarding the project schedule Review changes for possible impacts to the project duration and prepare change notices as required by contractReview project schedules for compliance with company procedures contract requirements and industry best practices Recommend corrective action where necessaryDevelop and execute monthly schedule reports for project and management useBasic Qualifications A Bachelor of Science or higher university degree in Business Construction Management or Engineering An equivalent combination of experience skills and training may be considered5 10 years of experience in planning scheduling and or cost engineering within a construction environmentExposure to project accounting and general financial management document management and project compliance processes & auditsProficient in Microsoft Excel Word and other normal business applicationsPreferred Qualifications Experience with CMiCCurrently hold or pursuing professional certification Certified Cost Consultant CCC;
