<p>Vista, CA</p> <p>Carlsbad Ca 3085</p> <p>$18.90/Per Hour</p> <p>Material Handler</p> <ul> <li>Job Description </li><li>Branch Details </li></ul> <p>Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks, and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines. Little or no knowledge of the job, acquires job skills and procedures to complete routine tasks. Has little judgement and decision making under close supervision.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods. </li><li>Rejecting unsatisfactory, damaged, or defected items. </li><li>Lifting or moving heavy items </li><li>Operating equipment to move or expedite material to proper department or storage location. </li><li>Store material in their designated locations after been received in the system. </li><li>Examining stocks and distributing materials and supplies in inventory to manufacturing lines. </li><li>Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity. </li><li>Preparing goods for final shipment and maintaining records of shipped merchandise. </li><li>Safety culture oriented. </li><li>Participate in audits and 5S program. </li><li>Basic knowledge in continuous improvement activities. </li><li>Inform supervisor or lead of work-related problems. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Basic Qualifications:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
