<p>The Parole Board's mission is to promote public safety through supervised, conditional release of inmates to the community, so that a successful transition from confinement to discharge from parole provides a basis for continued responsible conduct. We serve the public, victims, inmates, parolees, and petitioners throughout the Commonwealth by conducting face-to-face parole release hearings, providing notice and assistance to victims, supervising parolees in the community, and providing reentry services to those leaving custody with no mandated post-release supervision.</p> <p>GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>The incumbent of this position will be responsible for maintaining and organizing the Parole Board Records Room, while performing these duties in a confidential manner. The incumbent of this position will also be the primary backup support person for the Front Desk Receptionist at the Central Office. The incumbent of this position will also perform and assist with other job-related tasks, as assigned.</p> <p>DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Maintain and organize the Parole Board Records Room which includes hard copy and digital formatted files, and audio recording files and systems.</p> <p>Coordinate retrieving and dissemination of related records with Parole Agency Units, as appropriate, and required. This may include scanning, photocopying, and other methods as required.</p> <p>Transform hard copy files to digital/electronic formats as required.</p> <p>Ensure all Master Files are accurately organized in the appropriate manner.</p> <p>Maintains the confidentiality of all information that is obtained while performing the tasks in this role.</p> <p>Organize and store all archived files (hard copy and digital format) at the Parole Storage Facility (currently, Speen Street, Natick, MA - may be subject to location change).</p> <p>Upon request, retrieve archived files from the storage facility.</p> <p>Must be able to lift and move boxes up to approximately 35-50 pounds.</p> <p>Work with the TSU Program Coordinators, the Deputy Chief and the Chief on any other related, assigned job related duties as needed.</p> <p>Designated backup support person for the Front Desk Receptionist. Will take direction and guidance from the Administrative Services Unit Chief, while in backup support role.</p> <p>When designated as backup support for Front Desk Receptionist, will perform all duties as required, mail distribution, supply ordering, etc.</p> <p>Other related duties as required.</p> <p>First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.</p> <p>Office Support Specialist I:</p> <p>Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in administrative work experience or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below:</p> <p>Substitutions:</p> <p>I. An Associate's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.</p> <p>II.
