Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good.</p> <p>Responsibilities*</p> <ul> <li>Accurate, timely charting of patient encounters, including but not limited to patient history, </li></ul> <p>physical exams, diagnostic findings, lab and test results, consultations with other</p> <p>providers, diagnoses, discharge instructions and prescriptions in a medical appointment</p> <p>between the health care provider and the patient within the Electronic Medical Record</p> <p>(EMR) System.</p> <ul> <li>Retrieve existing information from within the patient's chart per the provider's request. </li><li>Retrieve supplies or instruments as requested by the provider. </li><li>Escort the patient to other areas within the clinic when needed. </li><li>Clean rooms and help room patients. </li><li>Compliance with hospital and with regulatory policies/agencies relating to confidentiality of </li></ul> <p>patient information.</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate clinic with duties required to maintain the clinic, eg, stocking, dusting, ordering clinic supplies. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. </li><li>Ability to type 60 words per minute with accuracy is necessary. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. </li><li>Reasonable knowledge of and ability to use standard business software, computer applications and dictation equipment is necessary. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications*</p> <ul> <li>Previous Clinical experience or Medical Terminology experience is desired. </li><li>Knowledge of University and departmental policies, procedures and regulations is desirable </li><li>Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and medical terminology is desirable. </li><li>Two years of college with courses in health science or biology area is desirable. </li></ul> <p>Modes of Work</p> <p>Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
